This research area is focused on the study and investigation of microscale movement strategies in protozoa (crawling, swimming,…) and Monera in order to extract design principles for developing high-performance microrobots. This includes investigation of locomotion strategies in bacteria inside the human body addressing bio-hybrid power-supply strategies for microrobots.
